We suffered so much tragedy during the play. We went without a director for two weeks because of an illness so we had to get a stand-in, early on we had a cast change, and then one week before the show, one of the lead roles (Marion Hollander) was switched with someone. Then we had Freshman chanting you know what backstage on opening night. Panic ensued and everyone was so worried.
But, the people who've been in 3+ plays were able to carry it off as natural, and improv helped when she forgot her blocking and such.
All in all, it was a gigantic success - and the audience loved it.
Just proves how strong actors are.
FTR, I played Walter Hollander - the lead part Woody Allen wrote for himself.
For me, the thing i hate is that after a few weeks the bond lessen. I was in a Shakespearen company and the year i went to college i had to quit and i lost contact with a lot of the cast and crew.
masked dancer in the original musical "logan and bean". it was such an amazing experience. the dancing was awesome! If any of you have heard of J. Scott Fischer..well he is extremly talented. he wrote the score, lyrics, and book for the show. anyway,my fave by far.
my favorite show i've been in was footloose... i played rusty. i just loved the songs i sang and the cast was so great. it was also my first show done at a community theater, so it's also a very memorable experience.
i was in footloose too (i was a dancer) but i completely hated it. the cast and crew were talented but there was too much bad vibes and attitudes that the production was awful.
that's too bad. it really is a great show with the right vibes and attitudes.
i had a similar experience with cinderella earlier this year, except the cast wasn't very talented, it was miscast and there were huge ego problems. so i hate that show now, although i adored my part (one of the evil stepsisters, joy).

just an overall amazing experience, mostly having to do with the crew. :)
