i love storytelling. that's what theatre is in all its forms: telling a story. there is nothing more fun, rewarding, and meaningful than great plays, great acting, and great story telling. i loooooove to see shows. that brings me more pleasure than you can imagine. i love to watch theatre. it is my favorite passtime. i enjoy participating as well. I disagree. Theatre is not an escape from life, it's jumping right into it.

i agree with you, and you are right in saying that theatre is diving into life. however, i believe it's the duality that barry talks about. theatre "is" in a sense, life. it's life depicted on stage. at the same time, you're engulfed into other people, characters, things that are not you. you are now in a state of taking part in something other than your routine. that's what i'm saying.

it seems everytime i have something to post its 'i agree'
and i wholeheartedly do, with you veiws on the art itself and how one should look at it and handle it...However for the time spent out of doing shows and projects I couldnt more desire anything but to be doing it...so given the opportunity to have theatre as a lifestyle, I would be down.
