Sometimes   I think  it would be a lot  easier if  I deleted my facebook and myspace.  I feel as if both websites have been hindering my maturity level. Most of my friends list is made up of acquntances and people i dont really talk to a lot on a regular basis anymore anyways.    I mean there's always  regular email for keeping in touch with ( Read more... )

Hey Janine, I just wanted to let you know if you decide to delete your Facebook, the Facebook company will keep EVERYTHING on file even though it's "deleted". (I read an article on this.) Basically, they want to make it "easy" to get back in to Facebook if you delete it and want it back, so you have everything where you left off.

If you really want to get rid of everything, you must delete every single thing manually first. Delete all the photo albums, applications, wall posts, all that before deleting the whole account. Otherwise, the content will still be on file somewhere and could still be used in background checks and the like.

Thought I'd let you know. :)

I really think that you should do what I did and totally remove anyone that you NEVER talk to or people you try and talk to but never respond. this will make you feel like you have dropped a lot of excess weight emotionally... I will always keep my facebook and livejournal.. they are the safest and most reilable... facebook will be useful for those 10 and 20 year reunions and crap so think long ad hard about it... myspace i can see myself using for the next 2 years max when i go to grad school ill have to delete it because they look at that stuff.... have your online fun for now and worry about it when you turn 25 lol

you have a good point Kristen i feel like that is especially pertient to all the people from the Barn Playhouse. I have been feeling like I have been annoying to them by leaving comments on their walls and them not writing back to me.. i mean i know people are busy and shouldnt take it personally when they do not respond right away but honestly if they haven't made an effort to talk to me since the end of the summer why should i waste my time trying to contact them.. its really not worth it. and then i cause anxiety to myself because i think i am being annoying to them.,, not something i should be worrying about too much.
