You guys have just posted what is probably the most loaded prompt you could have Joey react to:

Have you ever sold out?

Personally, I think having him actually admit it will be more of a challenge, and therefore will be more rewarding to you as the writer.

It is cannon that he's not a 'true' rock-super-star... his band's music is little more than bar-band quality. Victor was right when he said people only went to the shows to gawk at the vampires on stage, which is why Joey killed him. Some part of Joey knows the truth. He just wont admit it. He's a stubborn SOB who's run willingly into a full blown delusion ( ... )

Those are my reasons for witting all three versions of this story at any rate. I get to explore both of his 'radical' reactions as well as his 'standard' reaction.
