I don't think it's the worst art we've ever been subjected to but...this is pretty bad. Angie what have they done to your face? ;__;

That aside I love how Apollo is showing up in the forefront of all the images we've seen thus far.

I like Apollo's more prominent role as well, but my initial impressions are that I'd give it up for better character designs. :(

Although, I do like that Midnighter is smiling. That at the very least looks familiar. :)

The designs might not be great-especially Midnighter's, but it's kinda growing on me. :/

And yes that's a very good thing. Not really for whoever he's smiling at though. xD

It's pretty bad. Not as bad as that one artist (oh, man, I wish I had the comics in front of me- I can't remember the name) who made everybody so strangely bulbous looking- and seriously, everyone wandering around puckering their lips 24/7 was distracting as all getout- but this one also is definitely not on the top of my list.

Frank Quitely, that's the one. It's like all of their features are too big for their frames or something (in that first one, which was exactly what I was thinking of). And I never in a million years would have pegged all three of those as being done by the same artist. Weird. :)

my my, this is one of the more boring uninspired and inexpressive covers I've seen...then again the Authority has rarely been blessed with awesome covers. It's really just random ass kicking without any relation to the story it seems to me, certainly not a smart cover...T__T
That said, I still love that Apollo is in the front and that Jenny is there (who's that guy hiding behind her? The doctor possibly? or more probably one of the new characters?). And hey at lest Apollo apparently still has his halo?;P
Lets just hope for better art in the issue...<<
