Once upon a time there were Three Bears, who lived together in a house of their own in a wood.
One of them was a Little, Small, Wee Bear.
They know not who you are inside
Name: Bella Grace Blackwell
Nicknames: B.G., her mom calls her Bella-Grace.
Age/Birthdate: 18, February 19, 1990
Occupation: NYU Student studying to be a Veterinarian
Fairytale: Baby Bear from Goldilocks
Ability, if any: None really. It's not ability, but as a result of her tale, B.G. tends to get possessions stolen from her at a rather frustrating frequency and when she gets them back they usually end up being rather broken. So when an item goes missing, B.G. has stopped bothering trying to find it.
Appearance: 5', wavy blond hair that falls past her shoulders, and a bright winning smile. She's thin and nimble, but not all that graceful. She walks with a little bounce in her step like she's always up for playing or getting into something. B.G. has bright blue eyes that would look icy if there wasn't so much warmth in her gaze. Her style can best be described with the words comfortable colors (and lots of PJs).
Who she is:
Don't let the world outside there break you...
Playful, energetic, cuddly, curious, and a bit... needy.
It's hard for B.G. to take much about life seriously, at least, not consciously. She can even laugh about having her stuff stolen (again), make a self deprecating joke, shake it off, and move on as though it were no big deal. There are obvious issues (involving her lack of parenting and near abortion especially) that she could get serious about, and it's much easier for B.G. to be serious on another person's account, but for the most part, she finds life rather... amusing. B.G. has boundless amounts of energy even running off of four hours of sleep. She rarely loses that bounce in her step (at least, not because of tiredness). Caffeine is unnecessary for this girl. She loves mornings and afternoons, but tends to wind down just a little around evening time. However, this doesn't mean she doesn't stay up until late into the night.
For whatever reason, B.G. gives off this cuddly vibe. She loves hugs. B.G. simply loves contact, a friendly pat on the back is enough to spread a grin across her face. Soon after meeting someone, she'll become rather touchy feel-y with them, without really having much thought about it. B.G., also, has a love for animals, which is largely influenced by having been one in her first life. They're her passion. She's constantly learning about them, watching the Discovery Channel, and reading books on them. B.G. currently has a kitten and a pet tarantula (much to her mother's dismay).
She'll try anything once, albeit it cautiously and from a distance, but there's a bit of naivety to her. It's like she's constantly seeing the world for the first time and tentatively stepping out into the sun to explore. She usually doesn't see evil or danger where it might be lurking.
It's easy to make her smile. She's had so few strong relationships in her life, that she's a bit eager to please. One of her biggest flaws is that once she's established a relationship with someone, she tends to rely on it too much, expect too much from it. B.G. has difficulty being completely independent, largely due to Baby Bear being just a young cub in the tale, reliant completely on his parents for protection, food, and shelter.
B.G. tends to be a scardy-cat when danger's near. Let's face it, cubs don't protect themselves. They learn to run and hide, occasionally climbing up the nearest tree and waiting it out while their mother chases down the danger. B.G. is more likely to hide from conflict than to face it.
Back Story:
You have to see this through...
For as long as she can remember, B.G. has had memories of her past lives. It did not always come in dreams, but usually came out when she was young and played with her toys. Her imagination would take off and the imagery and details were so vivid she'd draw pictures with crayons, because she had no other way to express them. It got to the point that her mother was trying to decide between sending her to an art school or a psychoanalyst. Later, she realized her imaginings were merely memories from previous lives.
At a surprisingly young age, BG learned that she was a Tale. She was only ten so it wasn't difficult for her to believe, but the concept went a bit over her head at first. BG loved the idea of being a Tale. With imagination (or memories) like hers, it sent her heart soaring with excitement to think of all she'd already done and been through and that she had once been one of the animals she loved so much. She found that once she really knew that she was Baby Bear, the memories came to her more easily. They came in dreams and flashbacks and moments where she'd be staring out the window during English class while her teacher droned on about Hawthorne.
She lived in Chicago with a corporate business woman for a mother who rarely had the time to be around and actually... do motherly things. Her father has never been in the picture. It is no exaggeration in B.G.'s mind that it is literally a miracle she's still alive. She came at the wrong time from entirely the wrong type of man for her mother, and countless times, her mother ended up at abortion clinic after abortion clinic, never able to quite go through with it.
When her mother gave her the sex talk, she, also, explained about the near abortion that would have ended B.G. fourteen years ago. Of course, there were quick reassurances, afterward, that her mother was so glad that she had decided against the abortion. Still it became an item that she could hold over their heads in an argument, and it usually shut B.G. up rather quickly.
"You really owe me, Bella-Grace. I gave you a chance. I didn't have to."
As a child, B.G. used to hate how often her mother was away working or on business trips, leaving her in the care of a nanny. By sixteen, she felt incredibly grateful for it (though she can never completely deny the part of her that feels empty without having parental figure of some kind around). It's just that her mother was the one person who ever felt it necessary to push her into an argument, even when B.G. would rather let it go.
B.G. did well in school, excelling most in the sciences, especially biology and physics. She got along with other children, but she was seen as a little weird through most of elementary. In high school, people saw her as very weird. It's just she had her own style, her own energy, and had incredible difficulty standing up for herself in any situation. B.G. clung to the group she'd been thrown into, the teens who were different, a little wacky. Graduation ranks in the top five best days of her life. There would be no more cliques and living in Chicago for her whole life had made her restless. She was desperate for a change of scenery (B.G. would prefer a greener change of scenery, but New York City seemed like the best option) NYU waited ahead, a biology degree, and hopefully veterinarian school in the much farther future.
Luckily, her mother transferred her Vice President of Advertising position from Chicago to the new branch of the corporation opening up in New York City. B.G. still lives with her mother, but... it's more like having an empty apartment to herself, with no nanny for once, because most often her mother is at meetings and working over time... as usual.
B.G. is only just getting settled into the groove of New York City. It's not really her type of place. Big cities aren't really her type of place, she's decided. She prefers the woods, the outdoors, being closer to nature and grass and trees. Eventually, she hopes to live somewhere that's green.

http://imagecache2.allposters.com/images/54/039_16321.jpg What's the relationship between your character and their tale? B.G.'s personality has already been linked several times to Baby Bear. Much of the way she is has been influenced by the tale specifically or simply by the fact that in Baby Bear was a cub. It makes her playful, energetic, curious, and a complete pushover.
As a whole, B.G. is quite comfortable with having been a tale. In fact, she loves it. When she first realized, she'd never been more enthusiastic about anything in her life. She'd spend hours drawing and coloring pictures of the cabin, her Papa Bear and Mama Bear... and occasionally the evil girl with gold curls (there were occasionally horns or a mustache drawn in for creative license).
