It's like! Furigana is like subtitles for kanji. Usually what it reads is just how you read the kanji. But occassionally mangaka change the furigana to indicate a special reading. Like, usually "honou no michi" has furigana that reads "Flame Road." But instead, in this chapter, it's got "ore," meaning "I" in the furigana. Meaning that Kazu has become the Flame Road XD
