Depends. How well did you know her mother? If you didn't really know her at all, it would be really weird. On the other hand, if you did know her, your company would likely be appreciated.

My ex-boyfriend's (of 7 years) brother died over Christmas while I was in Florida. I knew Justin very well and it made me SO sad. I havent seen him in like 5 years so I sent a card to his family and a card to jason and told him to call if he needed anything. I just didnt think it was right to do a reunion at the funeral (although I would have been welcomed it just didnt feel right, you know).

I don't know who Molly Penny or any members of her family are, but another one of my friends is friends with a Jamie Penny whose mother just died and he mentioned it on his journal. Considering that funeral is in Waseca, I'm guessing the mothers are actually the same mother.
