I blame my English major for making me notice such things.

Hey all.
Hate to burst your bubble but Garage Hymnal is an Australian band.
And as I’m sure you know there are many different spelling differences between countries.
For example Mum and Mom.
Well Theatre and Theater is one of them.
For an Australian he has spelled perfectly.
Also FYI Andy topped the State of NSW for English in high school and also received the University Medal for English once he attended Sydney University. So I’d pick someone else if you’re going to attack spelling.

And also as a Pro Musician and audio engineer I have to say stop being so protective about your wanky music. Personally I don’t like Dream Theatre, however I can appreciate what people admire in dream theatre. But is it really worth a retaliation on your website to a bunch of 16 yr olds who got a positive comment from a Pro and felt chuffed enough to put it up on the web.

You're quite right, it's not worth my time posting or even replying to your comments. Contact me offline if you wish to chat.

There's a bunch of guys at uni that LOVE Dream Theater. One guy in particular. He has long hair, wears baggy old cargoes, metal t-shirts and plays shred. And he's really quiet and geeky. He's frightening when plays. You know those guitarists that have those spidery little fingers that just fly? Yeah. One of them. Even Dave Holmes was shaking his head last concert practise.

The problem with many muso-geeks is that they just love overtly technical music.. i.e. DT or many of those funk bands made up of session musos.. And forget about stuff that actually communicates stuff. One of the reasons I hate music institutions.

Just stumbled upon this page by mistake... Wish I hadn't.

This reminds me why I prefer working in the secular music industry than the Christian one. At least the childish pricks there have an excuse.

That was a personal email, sent to Ludo (who goes to my church) after he got me to listen to his demo. I have no idea how you got hold of it. Though I stand by what I said. I think they have great potential, and I wanted to encourage them.

And yes, Dream Theater spells their name with an er. Well spotted.

This is a semi-private journal, and it can't be found via a Google search. So it's surprising that you stumbled across it. I'm not promoting this journal in any way, and I'm cool if you just choose not to read it.

I guess you should speak to Ludo about this, he has put your personal email into his band's bio.
Andy, you're welcome to contact me to talk directly. I bear no ill will towards you, I was just making an observation on the music biz.
