Well, I finally, finally, Finally did it. I changed my journal name.

G'bye "adam_bat". You served me well (minus the awkward issues of gender confusion, all the times I had to explain where I got the name, and the creepy Russian spam).

Thanks to sardonicynic I have a new, more fitting, name for mah LJ. The "GodDamnBattycakes" wouldn't fit, so thebattycakes it shall be ( Read more... )

Sweet, it suits you well. Layouts are tricky.

Ali did mine and I haven't changed it because I don't know enough coding to. I probably could figure it out but its pretty.

AW YEEEEEEAH.

Congrats on the switcheroo, yo! The new layout is shiny, and I love, love, love the photo you chose for your header! (moofoot is a coding whiz, bee-tee-tubs -- if you get stuck in the mire, never hesitate to sling her a question as to how to fix it; I'm sure she won't mind one bit!)

I just switched up my journal layout (and Kate's journal!) thanks to the gorgeous options over at estiloamor; turns out copying and pasting CSS is a breeze and a half! I am still gleeing, I won't lie. (Uh, if I were writing my own design code, though? Oh, fuhggedaboudit.)

In sum: YAY. THE YEAR OF THE BAT IS A GO.

D'awwww, thankies!

I'm no photographer, but once in awhile I get a nice shot in, and with just a bit of photoshop tweeking I am super happy with it.

Link! Yay link! I shall definitely check that out. I was going to consult Ali if I did something smart like kill my LJ, and also if I end up at the point of throwing my hands up. And also if I actually get an idea of what I want, because she is super awesome in her LJ styling.

For now, I am right there with you with the cut and paste! I took part of a code from Bill's journal that she did with me, and spent last night cutting and pasting bits into it that I found on the internets, seeing what would and wouldn't work.

Most of it didn't work :( But! I got my picture up there! And I got it to stop trying to wrap the picture in funky ways, so I'm calling it a win.
