What is the difference between cutting hair and dressing it?

Dressing is, you know, styling and using some conditioner or hairspray or whatever. Cutting's just...well, cutting. Get rid of the split ends and stuff.

I usually do both, but some people only want one at a time.

You can get presents, I guess. I usually didn't. Usually I just listen to my dad talk about it.
