A smile spread over my face and I waved him in.
"Hello, Johnny," I moved back inside and pointed to the living room. "There's green in there. So why are you hanging out with me instead of making up with Paul?" I grinned and dropped the basket down in front of the dryer.

"I don't know. I haven't talked to him in three days. I have a feeling he wouldn't want to talk to me anyways.." I mumbled angrily.
I hadn't heard from him at all. Sure, we had arguments before but we never stayed mad at each other for long. I was beginnning to worry that we were loosing whatever we had. No wait, I couldn't think that way. We were fine... weren't we?

I dragged out some rum and cokes and sat on the couch beside John. I propped my feet up on the coffee table and stretched out for a moment.
"Well, it'll be fine, I'm sure. Get a joint for each of us out of the box, yeah?" I pointed to the box on the table and grinned. I glanced at the clock. Paul should really be here any minute.

"Have a light?" I questioned as I twirled the joint in between my fingers, looking it over.
I really hoped I didn't look all that depressed. Not hearing from Paul in three days was starting to take its toll on me. Or at least I was starting to think it was. More than I was letting on to anyone else at least.
