September 27, 1964. George and Ringo's flat, 3:30 p.m.

It had only been three days since my argument with Paul had happened. It had felt like so much longer though. Despite what he had done, I still missed him. I was starting to doubt that he realized that anymore. I didn't have anyone to talk to about it and I was going to go simply mad if I didn't tell someone soon. So I phoned George and told him I ( Read more... )

I ran over to the door, laundry basket in hand, and I opened the door.
A smile spread over my face and I waved him in.

"Hello, Johnny," I moved back inside and pointed to the living room. "There's green in there. So why are you hanging out with me instead of making up with Paul?" I grinned and dropped the basket down in front of the dryer.

I gave him a quick smile before moving in and sitting down on the couch. I let out a sigh before crossing my arms.

"I don't know. I haven't talked to him in three days. I have a feeling he wouldn't want to talk to me anyways.." I mumbled angrily.

I hadn't heard from him at all. Sure, we had arguments before but we never stayed mad at each other for long. I was beginnning to worry that we were loosing whatever we had. No wait, I couldn't think that way. We were fine... weren't we?

I bit my lip. Hadn't talked in three days? Well, I hoped there wouldn't be a huge blow up then, because I'd called Paul just before I'd talked to John. And he was coming over too. I knew they'd had a spat but I hadn't thought it'd be a big deal.

I dragged out some rum and cokes and sat on the couch beside John. I propped my feet up on the coffee table and stretched out for a moment.

"Well, it'll be fine, I'm sure. Get a joint for each of us out of the box, yeah?" I pointed to the box on the table and grinned. I glanced at the clock. Paul should really be here any minute.

I nodded before leaning over and grabbing two joints from the box on the table. I quickly handed one to him before looking at him.

"Have a light?" I questioned as I twirled the joint in between my fingers, looking it over.

I really hoped I didn't look all that depressed. Not hearing from Paul in three days was starting to take its toll on me. Or at least I was starting to think it was. More than I was letting on to anyone else at least.
