Now I'm really curious about The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp since you have such pretty and funny icons for it. Can you enlighten me? ;))

Most certainly I can enlighten you. :D It was made in 1943 and stars Roger Livesey and Deborah Kerr, and follows the army career of Clive Candy (Livesey) from the early 1900s to the middle of WWII, or 1943. It basically details many of the changes that happen to the army at large in that time, and how Clive Candy finds himself more and more left behind, so to speak, in the past. It's really quite a good film- there are a couple scenes in particular that are most poignant especially. :)

Thank you! It sounds interesting and good, though perhaps a little bittersweet? I'll keep an eye out for it and hopefully I'll get a chance to see it sometime. :)

Oh yes- very bittersweet. It was quite moving, I could sympathise with the main chap quite a bit. :) Do let me know if you see it.
