character relationships.
Kohaku reminds Yoko a lot of Simon, which makes her feel almost protective him despite hardly knowing him. He’s sweet, innocent and seemingly nervous. Still, she has no problem approaching him and can only hope he is comfortable enough to come to her with anything he needed her assistance with.
Kohaku
Red X claimed to Yoko that he didn’t need anybody and could get by just fine on his own. This made it her goal to prove him wrong, and in doing so, she has put herself by his side in hopes of getting him to recognize and be grateful for their friendship and maybe make him expand his short list of those he trusts. She’s giving him the real benefit of the doubt and will continue to do so until she feels she has reason to do otherwise.

Suguro is Yoko’s neighbor. The first time they met was shortly after her arrival, after he was suffering from the loss of a friend. This was a relatable situation for her and since then, the two have bonded a lot. She considers him one of her best friends in Adstring, and maybe a little more, but she isn’t ready to admit that to herself yet. They see each other at least weekly.

Back home, Yoko didn’t get the pleasure of having friends that were girls to hang out with. Thankfully, in that aspect, things seems to look up for her in Adstring. On a whim, she offered Suki to stay with her when the warrior was in need, and now, she’s become family to Yoko. A sister, even, as she would do just about anything for Suki.
Suki
Usagi is another girl Yoko’s glad she got to meet in Adstring. She’s brave, smart and giving. More giving than anyone Yoko’s ever met, actually. Doing her best to make it up to her, Yoko is happy to comply to anything Usagi would ever ask for her. she’s definitely someone Yoko knows she can turn to if she ever needed it.
