I've never seen a Bible called a "rulebook" before, though I guess it's not exactly wrong to see it that way.

There's several other "rulebooks" where I'm from. The Torah, the Koran...probably others I don't know about.

And, really, nobody's perfect. You can have any set of rules and no one will follow all of them 100% of the time. You do the best you can in every situation and hope the decisions you make is the right one.

No, there are always loopholes around any Rule.

The decisions that you make should be Ruleful, though, yes? Because what's the point of having Rules if they aren't "right?"

They should, but sometimes there's a Rule which isn't right. Sometimes, a rule or law is made with the wrong intentions.

I think we've had the discussion about our Rules, haven't we?

If not, just trust that I understand laws and Rules are often not right. Or even logical.

I found a list. Of what not to do.

It's the closest that you have to a Rulebook. That I've seen, at least.

Hm. Let's not get into that. I'd rather not get into that debate with you.

Oh. The law. Are they in a book?

Rulebooks?

There are probably dozens of them back home, but all those laws come down to one thing in the end: those with power can do anything they like to those without.

That's not a rule. That's just a fact.

Rules can be broken. Facts can't.

Exactly.

But this isn't about those facts of life. Or society.

They are not recognised directives.

Then what are your...recognised directives?

Largely classified.

More recent updated, however, pertain to ship-wide security and protocol.

Why is it classified?

Good. At least there's that.

If I guessed what you were thinking about this, I wouldn't like it, would I?

You didn't like it the last time.
