Bit of Randomness

Sleep walking?Through the drizzly sprinkles of early morning, he strolled alone and in silence on the sidewalk with his hands in his pockets. Several streetlight poles clanged like cymbals from the force of the wind. Away he walked with flip-flops, a cap, and a jacket on, while a rare vehicle rolled quickly by on the road ( Read more... )

I am a girl who wears a headcovering. It is surprising how many men still take off their hats when they pray and go into places of workship but so many women are very anti it. I have also got to go out with my dog in the dark in a minuite. I am in England and we now have dark mornings.

LOL. Fairness should have little to do with it. But, I'll take any comments. =D

It was his "Dr. ---" screen name that threw me for a loop. I thought possibly he was a particular Ph.D. who attended our church. That sounded just like him, too.

You don't have de-fog on your vehicles down there? Up here we can turn the heat to blow directly on the window and it keeps the condensation off it. We also have de-frost on the back window which basically are metal strips in the glass that heat up the window. Most cars have them down where the windshield wipers rest to so they don't iceup.

=) Yes, sure we do -- just not me. The heater core never was working since I got the car ... and I never really felt the need to have it fixed. No heat = no defrost.

Some days it was REALLY interesting when the windshield was covered with frost and the temp was near freezing. Yeah. The vents shot out freezing air. It was shooting out "smoke". And, the steering wheel was like a circular icicle. I had to leave the wipers on to help reduce the fog on the window. =)

Indeed, the 50's and 60's are good temperatures. I've been enjoying the recently cool temps myself.

Yes, you love it too much, I think. ;) Have you ever thought about a month-long fast from it? =P ;)

Hey, you could start a story like that--sounds interesting. :D

But (and you have already thought of this)...if the passage in 1 Corinthians is just talking about headcoverings/hats in church, then it would possibly be okay for men to wear them outside of church even during prayers.

Good quote!

No, no. I've got my story -- and I'm stickin' to it.

Yups. Agreed. Are you sure that "head coverings" is one word? I don't think it is. Maybe it's like "home schooling," it can be done either way. ...
