You're welcome! 'Glad to have another Chapin on my friends list. :) ... It looks like you've been eating way too many blueberries. ;)

So you're usually using LOL non-literally, then. I suppose that's quite standard? (Hmm... not for me.)

Sure, everything was created by God--except God Himself. So the real quesion is: Are wisdom, intelligence, and reasoning a part of God's very being?

I use LOL/lol when I'm amused, not necessarily laughing out loud. I don't always smile when I use smiley faces, either, though I think I usually do. Sometimes they're sort of to convey how I'm saying something--some things sound too abrupt or cold if you don't see a smiley face after it, when I really mean it in a friendly way. Then the winking face--I never really wink at anyone, but it conveys a half-joking, teasing sort of thing. Same with the sticking out tongue. hehe

Hey, I basically do the exact same thing; however, I usually do LOL when I use "LOL."

Huh. I didn't know that so many people made a clear distinction between lol and LOL. I've been using them interchangeably, mostly. Otherwise, I think your using the faces the same way I do. Yeah, I never stick out my tongue. :P :)

You know, I just realized that your userpic says, "Get lost," and that could be taken the wrong way. :)

I never thought about the "Get lost" thing. I just always thought of it as getting lost in the book...but for some reason, i can't ever upload pics onto LJ! Missy put mine up for me when I got the account. I think its cuz my pics are too big and I just recently D/L'ed a prog. to resize them...so I think I'll try to do that now. :-D

Yeah, I thought that "get lost" could be taken two ways, but hoped people would know what it meant because of the book. :\ Sorry if it wasn't a good choice--I've seen a lot of nicer icons since then.

I already said what I thought about "lol".

With the faces, I'd say, they are completely wrong in representing my face. ;) (See. What face EVER looked like *that*?!)

Well, actually, when I make the faces I am usually making something like them, but I make a TON more than that. And they loook a lot better on me than on the computer screen, even the frowns... (IMHO)

Well, God never was in a situation that needed wisdom as I think of it, because He knows all, past, present, and future. He also never needed to reason anything, and He understands everything.

Well, I don't know, all those things seem to be how it would be, but God is SO far outside of my paradime that I have no idea.

But, then He might have just created them as a means of knowing Him, cause like Harm said, He created everything.

I've never been known for my brains, so don't think too hard about what I said.

Do you agree with that quote?

LOL. You're so humble. ;) Yeah, the smileys aren't the most accurate at depicting the limitless diverse human expressions.

God does have infinite wisdom. But, that statement implies that wisdom is part of who He is. It implies that wisdom existed from eternity, because He existed from eternity. "I [Wisdom] was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was" (Proverbs 8:23). God is Wisdom, you could say. So, in my view, since God has existed, so has His wisdom and reasoning from all eternity.

After you I'm probably the most humble person in the world.

So, do you thnk He created them.

I guess since He didn't create Himself and they are a part of Him then maybe He didn't create them. Again, I think a lot of it is how you use your words.

Oh, sorry, the middle line is a question.

(and you did say that you were the most humble person in the world, I didn't make that up)

:D Even though I've watched a lot of Star Trek, I can't recommend it. Some episodes were too bad to watch, and all of them were influenced by evolution. But, I don't mean to make you feel bad.

LOL. I know!! Most people are suppressing their inner child's need to laugh! Haha. (Gotta make fun of the psychological nonsense taught today.) It good to know that some people are actually laughing out there. :D

Question 2? Well, God's reasoning, wisdom, and intelligence can't be compared with man's. He's not bound to time like us. He knows everything without taking the time to think it through (reason about it like us). So... human reasoning (etc.) was created by God, obviously. Yet, God is an infinitely intelligence being, is He not? Did He only start having intelligence when He created the universe? No. So, it would seem that intelligence generally was not created by God, but rather is an attribute of God that extends back into eternity. Similar things may be said about reasoning and wisdom.

lol, I don't feel bad. ^__^

*Grin* Great, I just didn't want to make you feel too guilty. There are quite a few movies that I watch that I don't recommend to others. It may seem hypocritical ... but, the way I look at it is that a recommendation or commendation of a movie/show is an endorsement and an acknowledgement that it's worthy of praise. The real question is should we watch what is not "praise worthy" as it talks about in Philippians. Maybe we should only watch what we can praise? That's a tough question to answer. I've very tempted to say YES. (The ramifications of such an answer are enormous.)

I've watched parts of all the various "kinds" of Star Trek. Probably my favorites were the ones with Picard (The Next Generation). He was one of the best actors. The Star Trek: Deep Space Nine was probably the worst (most immoral) of the Star Treks, though I only watched about two of those ( ... )
