Fantastic story like all your work. I really enjoyed this and hope that Buffy finds her words. Lovely universe you have built for our favorite characters.
Have you read Wen Spencer's books, Tinker and Wolf Who Rules? They feature the Tengu as well. Good fantasy reads.

I adore the way you have Giles and Buffy working together in this story. And Buffy's growing maturity and her connection to Giles is a joy to read.

I absolutely love this story! I am so drawn in by your words, some of them are so touching that I read them over a couple of times before I move on in the story. I love how much Giles thinks of Buffy as a mythical hero and how he recognizes her lack of esteem. I like that he is making her think things through and reason things out. I hope Buffy is able to find her words to help them for getting captured by the Initiative. I really, really love the closeness between Buffy and Giles and him calling her "dearest". I can't wait for more of this wonderful story!
