It's really hard to say, to be honest. If it was so easy to come up with a list of reasons why a gaming session succeeds then everyone would be producing wins every time without fail.

I guess if I had to give reasons... it was simple, interesting and well DMed. You rewarded us for thinking on our feet inside of blocking things off so we had only one route to go, and generally let us do our own thing. I like that.
