Ahem... could you please give me some C&C on the character designs I've developed for the manga I'm working on? Comments on my art style and such are also okay, but mostly I'm looking for feedback on the character designs, because these aren't shining examples of my best artwork or anything, just sketches. Thanks!
Asa is the fiery heroine!! She wears a bandaid on the bridge of her nose to hide a scar that brings back more than one sort of bad memory from her past... so, it's actually more than just a gimmick to make her character design look unique. XP
My main concern is her hairstyle. Is it too simple and ordinary? It's supposed to be I-don't-care hair, so I guess that makes sense, but... it's just so hard to come up with unique female hair that doesn't look wacky!
Slade is an "I don't give a damn about anyone but myself" kind of guy. His hairstyle is a bit strange, but I think it's unique, and it's blessedly easy for me to draw when I usually have a lot of trouble drawing male hairstyles! WIN.
The tattoo... serves no purpose whatsoever except to look cool. It's a gimmick, I admit it! But I can't imagine him without a tattoo now. D: Would it be better if I ditched the cross and came up with an original design for the tattoo? Then maybe I could work it into the plot...
Also, do Asa and Slade have good character design chemistry, since they will be the main romantic couple?
Asa's older brother, who works hard to support them after their parents pass away. He's responsible, protective, and a worrier, but also has a scary side. This character design is very simple. Is it too much of a cliche guy-with-glasses look? I think it fits his character, but I should probably redo it to make it more fresh anyway. Sigh. ;_;
C&C? :D :D :D Please tell me I didn't do all that work for nothing! D: D: D:
P.S. Season finale of Lost tonight. Kyaaa!
