So what's going on? I now have a job. It's not extravagent but it's income. Also: my grandmother died last Sunday. I miss her, but I'll survive. So with me now having a job, that means I can actually start looking at girls again. I'm not sure how to go about this, since I've never had a godly example to watch, so guess I'll have to wing it ( Read more... )

Condolences and Congratulations.

And maybe you shouldn't be looking for girls, but just enjoying the company of the women around you. If something happens it'll happen.

seconded

from your past posts it seems like you don't need terribly much in terms of how to proceed, you just need to be friends with girls and if/when one strikes your fancy go from there

the looking is SOOO much easier when your not ACTIVELY looking
if that made any sense

true. nice in theory, but I guess I'm worrying and my usual faith is being lost simply because of the fact that I'm turning 25 this year. Unmarried and 25 is not where I want to be. But I suppose I should cast that idea aside and just but it all in God's hands. Let him bring me a girl when it is his will. I lose faith you see. Mostly because of how important it is. I really want children of my own and a family too.

Though I guess if I can trust him with my soul, I can trust him with my love life.

On the other hand, I'm a guy. My job is different from yours. The bible says that a man who finds a wife will be blessed or something like that, putting the responsibility for the finding on the man, implying an active seeking. Though I need to do a more thorough search of the subject.

my husband is closer to 30 than he is 25 and we've only been married a year, I know the waiting/seeking is nerve racking but "if you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plan"....

good luck
