Why insurance is good.

Insurance, o insurance, how I do appreciate thee.

Yesterday was my first trip to a gastroenterologist since I moved out here, oh, four years ago. Yeah, yeah, I know. I should have gone in earlier, considering I do have a certain chronic illness. At any rate, my primary care physician thought it might be an idea to go get checked out by a ( Read more... )

Wow, let me know what happens. Insurance is awesome for this reason.

Just started taken Reglan for my stomach. Today. Gonna give it a couple weeks. I see my gastro guy next Wednesday. He's referred as the best but his staff sucks. I almost canceled cause of her nasty little attitude so I think I'll say something to him when I go in. Lots of times doctors don't know their staff is being rude.

Thinking about you. Love you. *Hug*

Hopefully Reglan works out for you! Will a couple of weeks be long enough to gauge its effects?

From what I've seen, I like the place I'm going to. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the doctor is very personable and came highly recommended.

I've come to terms with the fact that I have a chronic illness. I haven't come to terms with the fact that this likely means I have to be medicated in some fashion the rest of my life. I know, it's silly. Millions of people take pills every day. Doesn't mean I have to like it, though! ;)

I'm still a bit shocked that the insurance company said they'll handle it if the doc gets authorization, which is a matter of getting all the proper paperwork in line before treatment starts. It would be cheaper for them in the long run to pay for this than potential surgeries I'd need without it.

Thankful. That's me!

Hi, by the way. hehe. I'm glad you post even as much as you do. If we relied on MY sorry arse to keep in contact, well... feh.

I enjoy seeing your thoughts on things, though, sporadic as they are. Glad to know you're still doing so well.

I'm trying to post more often! You should, too, I say.

Wow, that's some good insurance. It's always tough to figure out what to do as a preventative, isn't it? I'm sure you'll make a good choice.

I've always been pretty slack when it comes to preventative, well, anything. :P Thanks for the vote of confidence! :)

innards. fun!

I'm glad to hear that you've got some positive options. Prevention can be annoying except when things happen (like October)... or rather don't because you've been taking preventative measures.

um yah.

hi.

Heh, I like that name :)

I'm good. Registered a business (Kogent) offering graphic design & programming. I'm excited and tend to jump ahead of the horses. We're working on designing a logo and all that jazz.
