agh! all of a sudden the summer is done. or almost done. actually, it doesn't feel like the summer ever really existed in the world of young professionals (which is a wretched, wretched world); the most unsummerish summer of all summers. i mean, all things considered, i did a lot, but it never feels like that much. among other things i DID visit a ( Read more... )

i too, agree that this summer was the most unsummerish of summers. but i dont mind that its almost over since theres no school in the immediate future [which feels weird to me too]. so i might give fall a try this year. michael drake made some pretty good points on the season after i got off the phone with you. and you just cant argue with the drake.

one of the items on my summer reading list that i still haven't gotten to is le petit prince in the original french. someday.

i really want to try and come down to dc next week, as a sort of vacation before i start my new job. this is all sort of up in the air, though. do you know about how long the drive is from rochester? and also, if you are free?

you should mos def come down! i will be here, although i work from 9-5ish on weekdays. the drive is about 7 1/2 hours through scenic central pennsylvania.

also, i have some fun french cover songs i should gmail you.

thanks! i'm going to be a secretary, doing secretary-like things. not crazily exciting but i'm quite honored to be a part of the u of r/strong empire. plus the pay is better than what i'm currently making and the people seem really nice. what are you doing job-wise exactly?

i want to road trip it down to georgia to visit my sister and some friends and then maybe swing over to dc on my way back up north, circa labor day weekend.
