*it is kind of amazing how quickly people have joined in opposition to the new facebook newsfeed. in less than two days the official petition group has more than 200,000 members and every time i refresh my page there are 100 new members. and there are around 500 other opposition groups.

people have pointed out how great it would be if they rallied

omg -- that dude with the book -- and the what are generation is about -- nothing. we're about nothing. Not the interesting nothing like the existentialists and the nihilits. The stupid, capitalist, consumer, internet society kind of nothing. Huxley's dystopia seems to be winnning. Who has time to worry about Big Brother when there's news feed protesting to be done.

Generation Y, how about Generation instead of selling my soul for knowledge -- i sold my soul and my brain for the newest playstation.

i hear you. i'm not exactly sure what our generation is about, but facebook and online social networking definitely seem to be defining characteristics.
