Saturday Morning Cartoons: 2009

As Beth started this mini- weekend-only job she got today, I had to also be up early (i.e. 7am). So, after I dropped her off & came back to my parent's house a thought occured to me: It's Saturday morning....do they still have Saturday morning cartoons??

There was a time in the late 90's where there wasnt any at all. It was all shows like 'saved by the bell', etc.

I remember cartoons starting at like 7am with things like laugh-o-lympics.

I also remember the fri night before (or maybe it was the week before) the start of the new sat am cartoon season, some primetime sitcom stars would have a 30 min or 1 hour show talking about, and showing samples of, the cartoon line-ups. I used to LOVE that.
