Do any of you think that intellectual and emotional rationality go hand in hand?

Or should you have one or the other -- But absolutely not both?

[Mrs. Hoffman mentioned that we should leave emotions out of our reasoning, but in my opinion, emotions are a key to insight and help us to rationalize. And I cannot think of any other way to reach a ( Read more... )

well i think emotional and intellectual rationality are pretty relevent to each other--we are able to control our emotions better with our intellect, but our intellect is affected by our emotions.
and after all it is all, each one is just electrical signals and chemical reactions in your brain... but then again so is everything i suppose.

However, I think I know what she means, that you should choose the most intelligent answer, instead of the one that you lean towards because it affects you the most or you have some sort of attachment to it.
