I actually started reading Maeve Binchy again too. Her new one. I don't totally agree with Steph that her characters are superficial, but the storyline is a little too predictable. I am ready Maeve Binchy again after about a five year break. I find that her characters are pretty superficial and stories too much like a soap opera. However it makes me long for Ireland. I'll get there one day

I finished ten little indians today, so meagan you can borrow it when you come up tomorro if you want. I am starting to read Gus, germs and steel by Jared Diamond, its about the fate of human societies and is non-fiction and won the pulitzer prize. I am hoping its entertaining for non-fiction. I thought this was an interesting book, very smart and well-written, but I didn't really enjoy reading it. The Handmaid's Tale is similar because in both books, the future sucks, but at least in Handmaid there are a few likable characters. I didn't like anyone in Oryx and Crake.
