Yesterday, in the mall, I realized that Spangle's birthday party was this weekend... and I needed a present! I decided what I wanted to get her, but it proved remarkably difficult to find. As for feeling invisible, Darling, do you know what that really is? That's called NEW ENGLANDERS HAVE FUCKING SHELLS OF ICE AROUND THEM! (NEers who are reading: Don't take it personally; the French have shells, too, only theirs are made of cigarette smoke.) So, I really hate to break it to you, but that feeling won't necessarily go away when you go to MIT. Come visit me someday in Texas and you'll see what I mean -- no shells there!
