There are few here that I actively despise, but there are few I get excited about as well. Overall impression? Kind of a "meh."

Also, and I won't hold this against you as I rarely check out people's profiles and have no clue why I did with yours (maybe because your list had a faint glimmer of personality, but, you know, faint), but I'm curious as to why you list alt. comics in your interests, but then only give us a Clowes. One of the better Clowes, but still.

I will say that Cat's Eye is Atwood at her best, I think. Of course, I have a proclivity to hate everything she did that everyone else loved & the opposite.

Top five non-fiction.

I'm just curious to see what I would come up with.

Absolutely, since it seems to have befuddled the OP.

And away we go dryride January 28 2009, 14:00:05 UTC
David Halberstam - The Amateurs
Daniel J. Boorstin - The Discoverers
Erik Larson - Lethal Passage
Natalie Angier - The Canon
Darren Oldridge - Strange Histories

This was a lot harder than I thought it would be. Damn. I already feel like I should go back and do this again.
