When I saw the website address I thought the place might be a high-concept library. Instead it's a hotel whose rooms don't appear to contain any books. Color me disappointed.
I have! It must have been six or seven years ago, so my memories aren't the freshest, but I stayed there during a weekend in New York with my partner's parents. The concept is undeniably clever, but as I recall, I thought it was better as a concept than as it was executed. There were books in the rooms, but the selection was not very large. Also, I was disappointed that it wasn't possible to make a request for a preferred Dewey Decimal section. Not a bad place to stay, but not as exciting as I had expected when I heard where we would be staying.
I'm really surprised to hear you can't pick which section you wanted to stay in. Logistically I can get it, not a lot of hotels are that willing to accommodate room preference these days, but it does seem to take some of the fun out of it.
