Oh! This is the puppy fic! Now I understand why you needed a puppy! This was gorgeous and omg heartbreaking! I really felt for all of them. Would like to know more about the marriage law. As in, what was it? At first I thought the gov't was requiring people to get married, but then when Brad/Kris's marriage was illegal, I wasn't sure. Why would Brad have gone to jail if he wasn't married? Did the morality laws apply to things like affairs with married people but not to sexuality? What did Adam mean when he asked if Kris would stick with him and then Kris interrupts? What did he think was going to happen? How does dating fit in with the morality laws?

Last question: When Kris walks out of the apt after telling Brad he slept w/ Adam, is Kris naked?

Well, this is how I imagined it, but I was purposefully vague on the details -

Brad was ordered to get married for breaking the moral code too many times. Instead of legitimately getting married, he paid Kris to fake it with him - that's what's illegal. And no, sexuality isn't a moral issue.

Adam, on the other hand, was deported for having an affair with a married man. When he asks Kris if he'll stick with him - I was kind of hinting at the fact that his former lover had kind of abandoned him when it all went south.

Last question: When Kris walks out of the apt after telling Brad he slept w/ Adam, is Kris naked?

LMAO. Uh, no. I was counting on people to read between the lines and know that he put on clothes. ;)

I read that part 3 times, b/c at first I thought, maybe he gets dressed, but it was the "tearing himself away from Adam's sleeping form", which he apparently does directly before stumbling into his bedroom that made me say, "nope, he's naked." Unless they never undressed to begin with? You don't specifically say either way other than reference to a belt buckle being undone.

Yes, but in Brad's room, I make a reference to his mussed clothing. I figured that he would've either put on clothes before leaving Adam's room, or slept in his clothes. Either way I don't really spend much time on little details like that, I don't really see them as important. *shrug*

Okay, this was incredibly well written, but I kind of hated what they did to Brad... I wish they'd waited the month, because they hurt him when he was so good to them both.

But you made me like Brad, and I'm generally not fond of him in fics, so that was awesome! Thanks for posting.
