This week has passed by quickly so far... the area has been slammed with a near constant pouring of rain. Makes work fun, for me at least, I enjoy picking up trash in the rain, though most others don't... the grass is a different story though. The humidity has been high, but the temperatures low, so this is a temporary relief. "Weed Fingers"... Superviser clint asked me today: "So, howre your weed fingers doing?" in reference to me pulling weeds the afternoon previous, I kept a surprising straight face, that play by the book cookie cutter bastard. I need pestcide.
Monday pretty much straight after work I went over to Bayonne to my near-dead grea Aunt's apartment, to pretty much put a tag on anything I found desireable. So far I think I've got a soup toureen, a handmade table set by some French sculptor which is worth a few thousand... though I would use it before I sell it because it is just so bizarre. All of the cups, plates, and everything else are bright red and hand made, with black hand painted roosters on them. Took some pictures just in case they magically disappear due to other nosy fingers relatives. The reason for the apartment purge is due to my great aunt refusing to take anymore medications or anyting else., so she'll pretty much die in a few days, at 92 years old. She's been in a nursing home for a year and is just fed up I guess, I'd have done the same after the first day I think.
Yesterday was a jam session down at the studio, but I didn't go due to being exhausted, slept from 6-10, then was up until 2:30 watching Iron Chef and listening to CDs... specifically Utopia's fantastic "Another Live" and the Eno classic "Here Come the Warm Jets". The Italian guy shouldn't have lost to a Japanese guy cooking tomatos. Period.
Today I was supposed to help Craig lay bricks for his walkway, but another thunderstorm rolled through so I just went swimming and went and saw Dodgeball w/ Ian, it was a good laugh, definitly akin to Zoolander.
This weekend is to be quite busy.... so long as it doesn't rain too much, sitting inside dowen the shore is fine to an extent, I'd rather go canoeing/crabbing in that weather, but aluminum canoes prevent such excursions. I may start working part-time @ Branch's with my dad... I think signed on for work Monday-Wednesday next week, so long as the pay is decent. 4:30-9PM... we'll be @ Nestle (yes the coffee/tea/chcoclate place) Xraying their coffee pipelines for poor welding and possible leeks. The thought of Xraying a coffee pipeline seems a bit absurd to me .
