He did not feel guilty. Awkward, maybe, but definitely not guilty as there was nothing to feel guilty for. This wasn't cheating; this was helping out an acquaintance. "Rory?" Amy called from the other room where she had been going through her rapidly growing pile of jumpers. At some point she'd have to find a way to get rid of them. Maybe she'd do laundry tomorrow. Yeah that's what she'd do. Wash the ones she liked and hide the rest.

Getting to her feet, she dropped the jumper she was holding into a pile and stuck her head around the door frame. "Hello Rory," she said smiling widely, drawing the words out into far more syllables than they were actually made up of. "I'm here. Drowning in cableknit jumpers."

"Do you need a rescue line?" he asked, grinning despite his curious feelings. Jacket hung by the door, along with a particularly floppy hat and his boots, Rory made his way over to his wife. "How dire is it?"

Casting a look back at the pile in the room behind her, Amy pulled a face. "Not good. There are some seriously dodgy ones in there," she said before stepping out into the common room. It'd be fine. She just had to keep on with the plan. A little recycling, a little washing and the pile would be halved in no time.

"But I'll take that rescue line anyways."

"Well, I believe in you and your ability to defeat jumpers any day," Rory said, moving forward to meet her and catch her hand. "Just maybe not today."

He paused and smiled down at her, forgetting his previous preoccupations momentarily to bask in the cozy warmth of their home and his wife. "Hello," he said, after a second, and greeted her with a proper kiss.
