-Had to do some last minute stuff for my trip to AUSTRALIA !  Went to hair salon , got my hair washed , now I'm waiting for my cousin to get back from her job so that she can braid my hair.

-Went to school today for AP English.  I got 31 right out of  the 54 questions that were on the practice mult. choice exam that Ms. Assent gave us last time.

for a year-and-a-half of busking in europe, i carried around a cardboard sign that read simply "australia or bust." the 'bust' expression, i learned, is largely unfamiliar outside the u.s., especially to non-native english speakers. so the sign, more than anything, proved to be a steady source of spark to flame small conversations with strangers. .. then, this morning, listening to the audio book of one of michael chabon's latest novels, i heard the description of a plush kangaroo holding a small cardboard sign that reads, "australia or bust," then picked my jaw up off the pillow above which i'd been enjoying a can of lightly syruped peaches before the small shock. .. i decided to punch the phrase, along with the word 'cardboard' into google, and see what goes. your journal here was one of five results. :)
