happy birthday bro
break started off at megan's house for the birthday of my little bro jacob. it was jacob's first birthday since his twin passed away this october. the birthday was fun and jacob is now a teenager. i think they are always going to be hard though. i can’t talk about it too much.
red robin and a room full of costumes (a.k.a HMI STALKER)
on a lighter note, sunday involved a trip out to the trinity house with the Weakend. this day was hilarious. it started off with the Weakend being over an hour early to the show. if you know the Weakend you know this is hilarious by itself. we couldn’t stand the feeling of being early so we went to red robin for some good eatings. jim couldn’t order a frosty mug full of toxins because his license was in the mail and they need an official picture i.d. i don’t know how it happened but i convinced the manager she was doing us a disservice and that we should all get free food. the rest of the dining experience involved 8 free baskets of fries, and free huge dessert for the table, the managers personal "going-away party" cake, and pictures with the staff of red robin.
what makes the night even more gorgeous was seeing hit the lights play again, lifting heavy stuff with shane/gweedo, taking pics in the freaky mask with j walm and marilu, dancing to the sweet Weakend beats with the normal dance crew, seeing "hello my name is stalker" written on the wall, hanging out with hit the lights and their mexi-merch guy that loves the detroit lions, and a million other things.

wedding preparations took both monday and thursday. monday we went to hallmark to lay down some invites and have some pepsi with aunt jan. it was fun. our wedding invites are better than yours!!! we then got the bad news from aunt jenni that the house in royal oak is not for rent any longer. she is either going to sell it or let an agency take over and rent it out. i took benedryl and fell asleep on megs couch. thursday was mall time. we registered for gifts at crate and barrel, pottery barn, and marshall fields. the day was split up with some food at cali pizza kitchen, this romantic restaurant that serves good coffee, the apple store, and all the places meg gets free stuff with coupons. i was at the mall for almost 9 hours. gadzooks!!
rest of the deal to be short
i saw colon-full of people that i have not seen in forever. i went to adam's place a couple nights and saw tony combo, tom bahri, mark smak, tom smak, jodi, juan, ian spratt, j ramsey, dave larue, jenn, and such. all lovely people. i brought in my poker chips and won 50 bucks so the walmsley's and i went to coney and it was good. i hit up lakeside, astl practice, sent the Weakend off on a tour.
i'm so glad i didn’t come home saturday. i ended up seeing a lot of people at bw3s and then going to a party at brad mc's. i gave trev my junior high hoodie with my name on it and we stopped at a party for a coupel minutes. i was called "guy with the beard". then trev, mike meade, and i went out for a night on the town.
i had many good times with some good people this break. and now i'm back to this masters program full of papers and group projects. at least i’m here in the apt. with mike and todd. the roomies, meg, and lindsey hung out last night and it made me feel good to be back.

new purevolume page of stuff i’m working on, you’ll have to get it from me personally. its all rough rough demos on my comp, but i’m playing again and i’m excited as to where its going.
i’m entering fromhereonout in the ernie ball contest to play detroits warped. if we win you’ll see us in august. as for now its almost time to do our last show. we have been waiting for some warmth.

QUESTION ON THE MONTH
so as i start to book the final fromhereonout show (yeah there was some miscommunication before january first because that was never planned to be our final one) i was wondering who should be a part of it. many of you have seen either nobody special or fromhereonout over the past 5 years and have those killer lineups in your head. who did you love seeing us play with? who did you never get to see us play with? maybe my favorite bands aren’t yours so i would like to know what the perfect lineup would be the last time we play.
p.s. my brother had a baby girl and I am now UNCLE BRAD!!! her name is molly atkin and she is crazy adorable. im crazy old too cause i have a neice who is just beutiful.
