The next prize taken by the Valiant was too small to confer any special promotion for Rothwell. She was a sloop, diminutive even by pirate standards, and probably best used for fishing. Fantastic, as always. I was missing poor Rothwell. I love that his first consideration is his clothing. It amused me, and gave reason for me to say to myself, 'Oh Rothwell', as if I knew him. Very good writing, as I have said before, and I look forward to hearing more!

I had to take time away from writing for two reasons: I was entertaining guests at home, so I didn't have posting time, and I was also trying to look up more info about who Rothwell's patron might be. It's tough trying to get lists of the folks in the Navy during that period.
