Ponderings on Plots

So I've gone ahead and read a fair amount of PoTC fanfic lately. It's been an interesting exercise.

Again, a lot of schlock. Luckily, it's pretty easy to figure those out in the first few lines and flee before it gets any worse.

Some awesome stuff though too, some ideas that had never occurred to me, and some fine wordplay about things I had

Oh, I love this! It is so handy for writing/reading POTC fic. Thanks very much for posting it!

Oh, and on a side note, I posted for Will/Liz in Tortuga. You should check it out and tell me how I did writing for Will. I haven't done that in a long time, so I don't know how canon I was. I think it's ok, but it would be good to get another opinion, since I'll be NPC-ing him for a month.

I think that scene worked fine. Definitely his first concern should always be Elizabeth! I'd hate to be in his shoes at the moment in that RPG.

This is some excellent meta.
I see an awful lot of stuff that I find myself agreeing with and/or wincing at as I realise I have been guilty of some of the worse offenses.
