My Cinematic Year 2009
I saved lots of receipts during 2009; most of them were grocery receipts. In case anyone is curious, I spent an average of $250 per month on food items. This doesn’t include eating out, or takeout, because I’m sure if I included that amount, my head would simply explode.

The Water
Has anyone else seen this video? I teeter on the edge of thinking it's kind of pretentious BS, and completely loving it. Either way, I find it very moving, and it reminds me of being at my grandma's house in Michigan at Christmastime, seeing my cousins, and playing out in the stand of woods behind her house. Another couple things
1) I GOT ANOTHER CAT! How did I forget this most important thing yesterday? His name is Ramses, and he's a Siamese/Himalayan cross. He's veeeery cute and playful and Volta is mostly warmed up to him... until he jumps on her in an attempt to play. He thinks it's awesome, but she snarls and pins her ears at him when he does this. A thing or two
1) My car rolled over to 59,000 miles on the way to work this morning. It rolled to 50,000 as we drove west from IL back in May 2007. This means that I've only driven 9,000 miles in the 27 months I've lived in California. That's an average of 333.3 miles per month ( Read more... ) -

Monday night was my Tori show for this tour, here in Oakland at the Paramount Theater.

It's 2 years since we met
Whaddya know, it's my 2-year anniversary at work today.
The company I work for celebrates you by putting balloons equaling the number of years of service outside your cube with a computer-printed sign saying "Happy -versary, !"
They decided awhile ago to switch to reusable mylar balloons instead of normal helium-filled ones in the name of ( Read more... ) -
Adventureland
I've seen quite a few movies in the theater so far in 2009. Some were predictably good (Milk, Slumdog Millionaire), some were surprising (Let the Right One In), some were good but stressful to watch (The Class, Ballerina), some were old (The Goonies, An American in Paris), and some tried to be good, but failed (Twilight).
