Tucson/Arizona/Nogales

I visited Tucson (Arizona) and Nogales (Sonora, Mexico) over the past week for the regional No Borders Camp meeting which was held at the Dry River anarchist collective just out of downtown Tucson. While, of course I would never want anyone to be stranded, starving, dehydrated nor dying anywhere...I don't have much compassion for people who don't at least try to go by the rules of immigration and apply like the rest of the world's countries. And the evil coyotes who take these people's money
and often leave them in peril should be jailed and barred from ever crossing our border again.

By not having "much compassion" and agreeing that there should be immigration controls and laws that ensure people will die or suffer you are helping to support people being "stranded, starving, dehydrated or dying". Hundreds of people are dying in the deserts or at border crossings every year thanks to the fortification and militarization of "our border ( ... )

wow. i am amazed. it would have been really interesting to communicate and volunteer for the people there in sonora. thanks for doing that.
i am currently doing some activism with a man who is considering returning to the border to ensure that his people make it across safely without the harm of the minutemen.

I wanna hear more! Also in response to G8 question, come on Saturday and find out! Or go to www.dissentnetwork.org (but put simply, G8 = 7 richest nations + Russia, meeting annually behind closed doors with no published agenda)
