So it's been exactly ten years today that I saw Phantom of the Opera for the first time. Yay for life changing musicals. Boo for ALW who became a sellout not too many years after that. So let's see, in Lutraville the past ten years ( Read more... )

Lutra I love you. LND doesn't exist. Andrea and I both don't acknowledge it. I'm not as much a phangeek as you. Having only seen it once, and seeing the movie a handful of times. The movie was fail, but it COULD have been worse. At least Taylor Swift isn't going to be in the Les Mis movie!!

PS: This is Amie btw. Not some scary creepy stalker. Just a short stalker girl from MA

O hai Amie!

I acknowledge LND only as a horrible, wankable bad fanfiction written by a thirteen year old that I can make fun of, but will never actually see because I'm pretty sure I'd weep horribly and never come out of my room again XD

Ughhhhh Drea told me who was going to be in the Les Mis movie, and when I see it I must see it with her and not be sober at all.

not sober sounds good. I agree about LND it's one of those horrid fanfictions that you think looks good, then you get 2 sentences in and you are like AHHHHHHH BAD WRITING, BAD CHARACTERS, BAD EVERYTHING and run away. That's the reason I've stopped reading most Labyrinth fanfiction and thus stoped watching labyrinth(watching it makes me want to read fanfiction, and I have read all the good stuff out there)

Phantom was the musical EVERYONE in my school was seeing except for me so I saved and saved and saved all of my allowance in grade 6 to buy a ticket. My Mom promised that if I could buy one she'd buy herself a second and take me (she was not a musical fan really so I think she was hoping I'd not save enough.)

Then just before I bought a ticket my Dad took me to Les Miserables to see if I would like musicals enough to spend all of my money on one (he had free tickets come in through his work) I loved it and promptly bought a Phantom ticket and loved that too.

I spent many a day listening to the OBC recording and singing along (dreadfully) after that :)

Les Mis is AWESOME. It isn't fair that a musical should be that awesome.

Aww I'm glad you loved Phantom and saved your money for it! warm fuzzies right there. It was totally worth it, wasn't it. Phantom is some awesome shit right there. Do you remember who your Phantom was?

OBC FTW <3 I had the biggest ever crush on Michael Crawford when I was fourteen.

Not sure... whoever was playing him in TO in the early 90s would have been who I saw. I do know that Neve Campbell was probably in the dancing corps when I saw it :)
