["accidental" voice]

Please excuse me... I cannot possibly have gotten lost at a time like this- my performance starts any moment now-

I had no idea the American ships were so very big inside...

I was just trying to find the toilet- This is so embarrassing... and Yamagata-san went to ask for directions... if someone could please direct me... I'm ( Read more... )

Erm, well... sadly, I think directions go as far as "you're stuck".

The others have said similar things...

I still have trouble believing this is not some... American game.

Well, I don't know if the people in charge here are American, per se...

Oh! There's a guide, though. I'll give you a text link. You have to click on that with your communication device. Of course, this is rendered mood if someone already gave you the link... but anyway!

Yeah, I know, it's a lot of information, but it's really helpful. But I guess I could explain stuff, if you have questions.

Would you please? They told me this is not Yokohama any longer... and not the Washington... it is still the seventh year of Ansei at least, isn't it?

... Ansei, Ansei... I'm not sure I know an era named Ansei. Anyway, this is the year... 2009, after the Western calendar. I'm not sure what that is in Japanese eras, but it's around two hundred years after the era Kansei, which is the time I am from.

That must've been pretty confusing just now.

So you're from Yokohama? Then we're close in place, at least! I'm from Edo.

Kansei? Truly? That's over fifty years past now...

This whole place is confusing- I am speaking on... a telegraph machine!

Edo? My family is from Edo!

So that's how it is...

Ah, so in your time, you already have something similar to this? Yeah, I know it's strange. But you'll get used to it after a while.

Really? What's the name? Hey, maybe I know your ancestors! How... odd.

If it's true... that is so very strange!

I've never seen it myself, of course... but I've heard the rumors! They say the captain has a machine on board that can transport messages across the sea, and they even brought a steam engine!

That would be so... Yukimura?

Tell me about it. Sadly (maybe), I found it's at times best not too think too hard about these things...

Ohh, you know a captain? Of a ship? That's pretty cool. Steam engines... to think that in little over fifty years, my world will have those. I might even see the day at least were I leading another life... hah.

... no, sorry. I know no Yukimuras. Oh! But my name - my name is Asano Rin, pleased to meet you!

(OOC: Strikeouts = thoughts. |D)

Or it will just make... less sense?

I hope to be introduced to him at the party... or- hoped. Yamagata-san said he could introduce me to some people...

That's alright, I'm not even sure what they may be doing these days... I am Mozu! I'm so glad to meet someone who does not seem so very foreign.

Well, it... doesn't make a lot of sense, anyway.

Oh, I see! Well, you might be able to when you get back.

Mozu-san, then. I sort of know what you mean - it's not every day you meet someone so close in time and space here.

But- what if it takes an awful long time?

It's uncommon, then? I'm so sorry... you must have been so lonely here, Asano-san.

Well, I can't truthfully tell you it won't. It very well may, or it may not. But what I did hear is that people are generally returned to the very moment they were taken from, regardless of much time has passed in the City.

Sort of - most people seem to be from a time close to that of the City, in fact. But no, I wasn't really lonely. I was able to make a few very good friends here.

... that at least would be a relief. It would be a disgrace to the okiya if I missed a performance in this manner... in any manner-

... how long have you been here?
