I Want This (Again)

While I'm on the subject of fabulous dresses, I found a large stash of amazing things that I must share.  I'm stuffing them behind a cut so I don't wreck your friends page.

These are at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and I desperately want to go see them in person.

Y'kn ow what would work really well with that last one? Buffet plates. Heh.

We went to the Bridal Mart on Folsom Boulevard to pick me out a wedding dress. Just for kicks I tried on a dress with a beaded cathedral train. (I was getting married in a small church!) The thing weighed almost thirty pounds and I broke the hanger when I tried to hang it up.

My mom has the picture somewhere. But from my memory it was longer than the first dress above.

simplicity.com has a pattern for the white dress with black detailing ;) and there's also a variation on the gold bustle dress.
