I have always felt flattered whenever a woman (or anyone, for that matter), especially someone I've just met or been introduced to, tells me, "Sayang kaayo ka. Ngano di man ka straight oi." My friends get the same thing, women telling them "sayang inyong kagwapo, etc. etc".

lol, i have this really good looking friend who is also gay. and he gets that a lot too. but i always tell him that if being gay doesn't really work out for him, then he should just marry me.

Well, it's a waste from their perspective because they're not going to get anywhere with you. So it's really a self-pity thing, I would say. Variations of, "Damn, I am never going to attract this hottie!" probably run through their heads.

Still, yes, that's a thoroughly annoying comment.
