I was happy to report that I had never heard this song. I wish I still had not ever heard this song. Why do people like that shit?? I mean, I'm guilty of listening to some bad stuff when I was a teen, but was it really as bad as this?
Unfortunately, yeah, it was as bad, but it was relative. at least when we listened to it, the metaphors were new. Cut my wrists and cry like a girl when she leaves me are old now. this crap is a rehashing of horrible music we heard before.
Please, don't get it twisted. I don't listen to this shit by choice. It's on Sprint radio at work all day. The only thing that made this even watchable were some of the misheard lyrics.
God i hate all this "new rock" fallout boy, HIM, death cab for cutie, all that bullshit.
I really like half of what Death Cab has done, but Jimmy Tamborella and all of his projects have been around since the mid-90's. He is an excellent lyricist. Even The Postal Service is old(ish). I guess you could say he's one of the musicians that paved the way for "emo" bands to take what was once a decent genre and bastardize it. I even liked screamo bands like Poison the Well, until that shit got so pussified, too. Most music on the radio is crap, anyway. I'm not sure if it's because I've gotten older or if I just experienced more fresh, progressive music that I've become such a critic.
