Obama's plan doesn't include universal healthcare. If I'm not mistaken, he wants to make sure that all children are insured. Universal Children's Healthcare? Hm. Personally, I would rather my paycheck be taxed to see that everyone is granted that right. Insurance companies have fucked people over for way too long.
The phrase "Keeping the black man down" is irrelevant now. I find that totally awesome.
I'm not saying that the economy doesn't have its natural ebb and flow, but there is no denying that Bush was spending money "like a Democrat." No hypocrites here.
I don't think that The Walrus and the Carpenter applies here...it applied in 2004...but that's just my humble opinion. =P

The right to healthcare is access to it, not provision of it. I do agree that it's sad that many kids don't have any insurance/healthcare providers, I don't agree with making it harder for me to insure my *own* child. Once again, government sponsored insurance/care costs too much and provides too little to be of any real benefit, beyond emergency care. It's still the responsibility of the parents to *bring* the child *to* the doctor, and I have seen firsthand those that would not do it
