I think it's sweet that they get to be married after being lovers for around 35 years, as well. It's too bad his family members are being such jerks about the whole thing. But then, they're royalty. I suppose one can only expect snobery.

Do you have mockingbirds there? They are even worse than squirrels, because as you, kitty, saunter along, they divebomb you. So you have no choice but to go after them.
