Dari made a slight face and then she realized she was getting far too personal and talking about things she normally avoided talking about. What was that about? She was glad when he distracted her by his last remark.
"I guess it does," she replied, grinning a little bit.
"Oh.. don't forget to lower the flame," she cautioned a moment later. A melted cauldron was not in her list of things she wanted to happen tonight.

"Oi!" He quickly adjusted the heat and sent Dari a grateful look. "You were saying about me doing well?"

She laughed and shook his head as he adjusted the flame. "Oh.. well.. I was distracting you. You really are doing very well. Better than last time, even, and improvement is always a good thing."

"So, I feel bad making you go though this all with me. I'm sure you have better things to be doing and all. Any way I can pay you back? Not in the market for a wedgie hex are you?" Granted, the hex wasn't technically his to barter but it was a joke anyway. Darin was thinking tutoring for tutoring but then again, Dari probably had everything well in hand.
