i don't like paul martin but i like this speech

i never thought a speech like this would be made by prime minister paul martin in the canadian house of commons arguing in FAVOUR of letting same sex couples marry, but it makes me happy nonetheless. i wish i could have seen or heard the whole thing in it's entirety.

indeed they did.

even though those words are probably not mr. martin's himself i'm still impressed that the leader of our country agreed to read them. and i hear he did an amazing job at the speech.

this makes me smile :)

i was also impressed with his interview a while back, where he defends gay marriage and the charter, and tells that little story about his friend's lesbian daughter...
