Game idea: The player characters are people in the modern day, as weird shit starts to take place in the world. Norse-style fae and monsters begin to appear

If you like the idea, feel free to use it if you like. I do not mind sharing.
I think I'd want to keep it Norse focused, since there's quite a bit there to work with, and I'm playing on the idea of Einherjar a bit with the second leg of the game concept. I'd probably use the mythology as a platform to build off of, and say that the legends were incomplete or garbled; I'd do to frost giants what Vampire did to vampires, etc.
Though I could steal from other cultures, put through a Norse filter, and still keep it "in theme".
The idea of keeping the basic concept here, stripping out the Norse part, and shifting it into other cultures is interesting too. For example, what happens is you take this concept and move it into Shintoism?
Hmm. I'm not sure Shintoism has the same "End of the World" theme that's prominent in Norse and Christian mythologies. They do have some interesting beliefs on spirits and the afterlife though that might make an interesting premise.
Also, if you're still interesting in GMing, I recommend you start writing down your game ideas too, and tag 'em for later reference. If you don't write it down, you may lose it!

Would you keep it Norse focused, or mix in bits from other cultures?
