More medical "professionals" need to hear that sort of statement. If people like us had that sort of reaction to pain, we'd have died from heart attacks long ago. And good for you for speaking up.
There is a med you can take for neuropathic pain, but I think your doctor might already have you on it. (Can't remember offhand, can barely keep track of my own.)
Exactly! I don't know why my bp stays within an average of 100-90/60, with the way these folks stress me out. *lol* I think I've decided to just play it all out front and on the table, and anybody that can't handle that is welcome to leave my cubby. =)
Yeah, Cymbalta is used for diabetic neuropathic pain, but that doesn't seem to be doing much. It does seem to take the rocks in my joints and regulates them back down to sand, if that makes sense.

Wow. You are badass, and what you said definitely needs to be said. It's so fucked up that the medical profession has backed you into a situation where you feel you may have to start faking to their expectations just to get them to take you seriously. I vote more to the lay-it-all route, like you did, because there are other hot pervs like you who are going to run into the same things, and the doctors, et al need to learn to *listen to their fucking patients* instead of blowing off what doesn't meet their preconceptions.
I have more respect for you every day. Thanks for "over-sharing." I think you should make that blood pressure quote public, if possible. *hugs*

Teehee, thanks! =)
Agreed, fucked up is exactly how I would describe it -- I just take a lot more words to do it! *lol* I'm still laying it all out, since that's easiest for me, and if they can't adapt, fuck 'em. They usually straighten up when you ask for a shift supervisor and a patient liason (?sp). Even doctors have to answer to somebody, dammit!
I'll switch it to public, I'm not sure why I don't that so much anymore.
